Thank you for that link, Linda. We sometimes have trouble at Rutland Water because the Egyptian Geese breed so early. They like to occupy the Osprey nests, which they sometimes do before the Ospreys return . I believe they used to cover the nest over to stop the geese from nesting. Now, I think they just leave it to the Ospreys to kick the geese, and their eggs, out of the nest!
