Red-tailed Bumblebee

Red-tailed Bumblebee by Linda Yarrow
Red-tailed Bumblebee, a photo by Linda Yarrow on Flickr.
Taken at Kingston Lacy. The gardens are lovely, plenty of interest. The bees are attracted to this plant, the Pulmonaria, a good plant to have in your garden if you are interested in helping our bees.

I've seen a lot of these today Linda.
Let's hope they all thrive, despite the 'non efforts' of our government.

Yes I know what you mean, it is typical of our government to put money and profits before the health of our environment and ultimately our health.

I find that I'm starting to pay more attention to bees now Linda. Thank you for sharing this lovely image with us.

Hi Richard, I am now more than ever planting flowers that bees like ie Centaura Montana, Pulmonaria. I have a lot Green Alkanet which seems to attrack the Common Carda bee. Helping bees is something we can all do if we have a garden.
