Wheatear at Lundy Island

We went to Lynton, North Devon for three days, camping, making most of this beautiful, hot, unseasonable weather.  We took a trip to Lundy Island, got a bit carried away with seal spotting at the far end of the island, we (my OH and I) had to make a dash back to catch the boat back to the main land.

Hi Lyn, the Wheatear was interesting, I guess he was blown a little off course for migrating south for the winter.
Stranded on Lundy, that could have been interesting.{:))

There was several Wheatears on Lundy Roy, it is at this time of year I see them here in the South. They migrate to central Africa, so the birds I see are on their way to Africa. On Lundy Island they had mist nets to catch birds to record and ring them, Lundy like Portland are hot spots for migrating birds.

Hi Roy, I am having trouble leaving comments on your blog, both on my computer and the computers at work, I don't know why:(
