Unchained Melody

Malcolm and I took a trip to Mudeford, quite breezy but enjoyed the starlings amongst the crab and lobster pots piled up on the quayside.  There were a few sparrows also, flitting in and out of the pots looking for some tasty morsels.

Sunny Posts

Lovely sunny day today, we went to Studland beach for a walk.  We saw a Painted Lady butterfly, could not get a picture of it, I think it was probably in a hurry to move on to warmer climes.  This Common Darter was very obliging, I was able to take close up pictures of it at different angles while he was sunning himself on the post.

Fungi at Arne

Went for a walk at the RSPB nature reserve, Arne, hoping to see some Spoonbills.  We did see four but too far away to get a decent picture of them.  This year, Poole Harbour has 49 Spoonbills, the most ever seen in the UK.   Well, at least these fungi were easy enough to photograph, they don't move around, don't get blown around in the wind either :-)
